Flat Reeds
Flat reeds are a part of weaving loom that are used to separate the space of warp threads and push the weft threads into its place. It helps to maintain the position of the warp threads. This reed is made up of number of wires called as dents and the count of the reed is decided by the number of dents per two inch , it determines the openness or closeness of the fabric.

Droppers
Droppers are used in Textile weaving machines. Each warp thread requires one Dropper each to stop the weaving machine in case of warp thread breakage. About 10000 to 30000 Droppers (for each warp thread) are needed per weaving machine on an average and are used to weave fabric depending upon the end use of the fabric. Depending upon the yarn count (yam Dia) the Dropper thickness is selected 165mm length, 11mm width, D type hole for inserting each warp thread Thicknesses 0.3mm for higher dia yarn and 0.2mm thickness for lasser Dia yarn. When the yarn breaks the warper falls down and through a electrical contact stops the weaving machine which is running at around 500 to 1000 RPM, thus ensuring defect free weaving of fabrics. Wet polishing is a special finish to ensure that the adjacent yarns do not break due to poor surface finish of these droppers. It is a consumable spare and need to be replaced once in 4/6 years approximately based on the usage warp yarn type.
